Ashley is from Chicago, born to Haitian parents, but she grew up in Bloomington, IL. She moved to LA to try to get into the film industry, and she is now the coordinator at a large production company.

Her goal is to make projects that effect social change. She used to feel alone in this desire to effect change, but with all that's going on this year, she says she’s seen that there are a lot of others doing good work. Right now she is taking a step back to figure out how she can help facilitate change, amplify the voices of those not often heard, and find the best role for herself in this movement.

Even in our short time together, I could feel the positive energy radiating from her. I wanted to hug her and say, “Get out there! I believe in you!" But I also totally understand feeling overwhelmed by everything. You got this, Ashley!

Also, almost the whole time we were trying to do the shoot and talk there was a very loud garbage truck on the street. Eventually we gave up trying to ignore it and just started waving.
