I’m calling it “Reintroducing America.” From 1935 to 1944, the US government-sponsored FSA program hired photographers and writers to "introduce America to Americans." Those photos today work as a time capsule of that era. While I do not fancy myself as being on the level of those famed photographers, I do feel the need to document this strange time. We are a divided nation—there is no arguing that—but as I've been traveling around and talking to people, I find that even when we have completely different points of view, we are still living through this crazy time together, and we always find some way to relate. I am one person and currently sponsored by no one, but I am going to do my best to document the many faces and stories that make up our country, one person at a time.
